Greeley-Wolbach FFA Welding Team 3rd at State

The Greeley-Wolbach FFA welding team placed third overall at the recently held State FFA Convention in Lincoln. Gordon High School was first and Waverly second.
Team members were Kallen Ryan in wire welding, David Glenn in arc welding, and Brian Glenn in oxy-acetylene welding.
Each student took a written test, followed by a requirement to demonstrate the different welds in their specific area. This included pipe, lap and corner welds. The boys qualified for the state level contest by placing second at the district contest held in Grand Island at the Central Community College in February.
Mitchell Cockerill qualified for the State FFA Choir.
Other results were David Glenn fourth in tractor driving, Bill McMannus sizth, Brian Glenn seventh and Trent Nekoliczak 10th.
Greeley-Wolbach students competed well in the Junior High Quiz Bowl held at Pershing Auditorium in Lincoln. Participating were MaKenzie Cockerill, Lauren Deisley, Annie Glenn, Kim Graff, Jacob Killinger, Shelby Rother, GBrett Ryan, Ed Smyth, Danyell Thompson, Kim Wood, Ben Callahan, Ashley Dugan, Darin Erickson, Dakota Hansen, Jami Nekolickzak, Dustin Nordhues, Andrew O’Connor, Ray Pfeifer, Riley Wondercheck and Justin Wrede.
