The Twin River FFA Chapter has already started a new and exciting year. They have 86 members and seven officers. The officers are: Patric Euse (President), Kimberly Johnson (Vice-President), Zach Czarnick (Secretary), Ryan Clausen (Treasurer), Andy Jarecki (Parliamentarian), Ethan Kershaw (Sentinel), and Courtney Gottsch and Kirsten Wilcox (Co-Reporters). Activities for this year started in full force at the beginning of the summer.
Genoa celebrated their 150th birthday, which involved many hours of volunteering for the community. For the parade, an alumni member donated an old combine that the chapter painted, to promote their FFA chapter. They also held the Little Britches Rodeo which was enjoyed by all ages. Twin River FFA also built a demolition derby car for the derby. The Twin River FFA advisor, Brad Andreasen, and members worked long, hard hours to experience auto mechanics. The car was then raffled off and drove really well in the competition. It was a great fund-raiser and a fun experience.
Heritage Power Association, local antique equipment organization, also asked the
members to help put on the annual antique tractor and equipment show. Members were given the opportunity to bind corn and wheat, chop silage, and drive tractors. The members competed in the tractor driving contest by demonstrating their backing skills and drag races in barrel pushing.
