On Monday, September 12th nine members of the Shickley FFA Chapter traveled to Geneva for Ag- Venture Days. The members were Whitney Walters, Amy Hendrickson, Austin Oswals, Cynthia Mick, Taylor Peppie, Dylan Lauenstein, Megan Swartzendruber, and Nathan Hendrickson. They escorted area 4th graders, that attended the event, around the fairgrounds. While there the kids attended different sessions. The sessions they attended included Vetrinary Science, Livestock Safety, Beef By-products, Roping, Feed Ration Relay, and Water Aquifer. The event ran from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. During the day the kids enjoyed all of the activities. They also tried their hand at roping and received a tour of a cattle trailer. The day ended with lunch being served and a presentation from the Thayer County Cattlewoman.
