Blue Hill FFA

The Blue Hill FFA chapter went to livestock judging on Wednesday, November 9th. Livestock judging was held in Hastings. The members did very well. Two teams are going to State FFA Livestock Judging. Members in the Senior Division placed Jordyn Atwater 2nd, Cheyann Lovett 3rd, Shane Kometcher 5th, Garret Williams 15th, Garrett Sharp 18th, and Kyle Mans 20th. Members in the Junior Division placed Dan Kinley 4th, Amelia Petska 7th, Kortney Allen 15th, and Taylor Lemke 25th. Members in the Junior High Division placed Jacob Vanboening 1st, Devin Wilkerson 4th, Chase Seybold 6th, Mitch Krueger 8th, and Kenzie Hubl 19th. The Senior Team got 1st overall. The Junior Team got 2nd by one point. The Junior High got 1st overall. Both the Senior and Junior teams are going to state in April

Nine members of the Blue Hill FFA Chapter went to National FFA convention.  Those members were Lexie Himmelberg, Kaite Poe, Sydney Strasburg, April Faimon, Merritt Barton, Dakota Lovett, Kevin Williams, and Amelia Petska. National convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The chapter went to Opening Ceremonies. The ceremonies had a guest speaker, Dave Roever. Dave was enjoyable to listen to. He talked about his life and his message of hope that he hopes to share with all Americans.  They also went to the career show were they learned about different agricultural jobs and careers. Many of the members went to leadership workshops. All the members took a tour of the underground caves.
The members enjoyed their time in Indianapolis.
