St. Paul FFA
This fall the St. Paul FFA Chapter has participated in numerous activities. As a community service project we picked up trash every Saturday morning after every one of our home football games. Our chapter also took the initiative to start a paper recycling program school-wide at the start of this school year. In September we had 10 members participate in the Nebraska State Fair. We took a FFA field trip down to Husker Harvest Days with around 60 kids. That same day some of the kids went back down after Husker Harvest days was over to help pick up trash, and we picked up trash the Saturday after the event was over too. In September we took two vans full of kids down to River City Roundup at the Qwest Center in Omaha. While there we volunteered in the petting zoo. This included talking with elementary students, feeding and watering the animals, and cleaning pens. We are glad to say we had a safe trip home. In October we had 22 members go to the Impact Leadership Workshop at Hastings Community College. Also in October we had 11 of our members go and attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. We also are preparing for the upcoming district LSE competitions on December 7th, at SEM high school. We have practiced hard and we hope our hard work pays off at the competition.
