Amherst FFA Week!!!
The Amherst FFA had a full week of activities during National FFA week with highlights of the Husker Beef Lab and the Annual Petting Zoo! During the Husker Beef lab, students of Amherst High School were able to analyze the digestion process of the rumen. Brent Plugge of the Buffalo County Extension presented the students with a hands on experience. Each student had the opportunity to put their hands in the cow’s rumen if they wanted.
