On Tuesday, March 6, the Boone Central FFA Chapter traveled to Columbus Community College. They took part in Career Development Events (CDEs). This is a day of contests ranging from Livestock Management to Welding. The results are as follows:

An asterisk indicates qualifying for state. Some members will have to switch contests due to conflicts with other contests in which they are qualified. Also, being chosen as the top three in the state in their proficiency award area and will be interviewed at state to determine what place they will receive are Jake Olson in Specialty Animal Production, Aaron Hamling in Ag Mechanics, and Spencer Noble in Poultry Production.
On Tuesday, March 13, Boone Central hosted the district livestock judging contest at the fairgrounds. Classes judged were bulls, market steers, cull/keep heifers, market hogs, breeding gilts, and breeding ewes. Question classes were the market steers and breeding ewes and reasoning classes for the senior division were the bull class and market hogs. Both senior and junior team qualified for state. The results for Boone Central are as follows:

On Saturday, March 17th, the chapter will be helping the alumni with their annual consignment sale. The sale starts at 9 am and concessions will be provided. The FFA chapter will be traveling to State FFA on March 28 through March 31 to compete in the contests in which they qualified.
