On Wendsday , May 2, 2012, 30 members of the Shickley FFA and FBLA combined in the annual roadside cleanup. This project makes up a part of our organizations' community service programs. The FFA has been involved with this activity for a number of years, and this year they completed 6 miles of roadside cleanup, with both sides totalling 12 miles, east of Shickley on Highway 74. This year a large focus was put on safety by cooperating with the Nebraska State Department of Roads to aquire orange vests and road signs. Along with the vests, latex gloves were also used this year to help promote safety.
