The two-day Summit brought together 350 women from across the country to discuss issues such as securing America’s future in a global economy, strengthening our economic security, lowering the cost of health care while increasing quality and innovation, and other public policy issues.
Attendees were able to meet with leaders from Congress, the Administration, academia, and industry. Participating from the Third District:
- Karen Anderson, Executive Director, Scottsbluff-Gering Chamber of Commerce, Scottsbluff.
- Karen Ellis, Government Affairs Representative, Embarq Nebraska, Scottsbluff.
- Cindy Johnson, President, Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce, Grand Island
- Pam Lancaster, Hall County Supervisor, Grand Island.
Anderson, Ellis, and Johnson were nominated by Smith.
“The opportunity for a frank and open dialogue with business and professional women from across America is vital as Congress addresses key issues facing our nation. I’m proud to see Nebraska was well represented by some of our state’s best leaders,” Smith said. |
