Demand is strong for dairy alfalfa and grinding alfalfa, moderate for alfalfa pellets, prairie hay and stock cow quality hay. Hay prices remain strong, for the most part yields have been disappointing. Irrigators have used a large portion of their water allotments with very little help from Mother Nature. With corn prices coming down corn silage may be an option for forage needs.
