Collins, CO Monthly Hay Auction Total Tons Offered: 1491 Last Month: 1179 Year Ago: 1053 Compared to last month: Alfalfa, mixed alfalfa, and grass hay in small squares sold steady to mostly weak. All other bale classifications sold sharply lower, with a large percentage of the supplies consisting of grass hay which sold as mostly 20.00 to 30.00 lower per ton lower. The sharp decline in price was due partly to heavy supplies of fair to good quality hay. Demand was moderate to good for moderate to heavy supplies. Trade activity was moderate to active. The next hay sale will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
