Veterinary Medicine, Mo Cattlemen's Ass and Mo Dept of Agriculture.
Requirements for all heifers:
Calfhood vaccinated and complete vaccination program
Treated internal and external parasites
Polled or dehorned and completely healed
Meet minimum pelvic size and reproductive tract soundness
Meet minimum weight standard and body condition score
Free from blemishes such as pinkeye or bob-tails
Bred to bulls meeting low EPD birthweights and calving ease
Heifers are bred to calve between February 1 and May 1, 2001.
Ninty percent of the heifers were Angus or Angus-Cross.
Supply consisted of 157 head bred heifers with a sale average of $879.00.
(Last year sale 1999 of 240 head heifers averaged $793.00)
