in cooperation with University of Missouri Extension, University of
Missouri Commercial Agriculture Program, MU College of Veterinary
Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen's Association and Missouri Department
of Agriculture-USDA.
Heifers in the sale have met minimum standards for reproductive
soundness, pelvic size, body condition and weight. They have also
underwent a comprehensive health program, and are guaranteed bred
to easy calving bulls, with several synchronized and artificially bred.
Projected calving dates were given for all lots with heifers expected
to calve from mid-January thru mid-April. Heifers were screened for
blemishes, frame, muscle, body condition score (BCS), and disposition
by a final screening committee comprised of official graders from the
Missouri Dept of Agriculture and USDA, and then sorted into lots
according to calving dates and body type similarity. Demand good with
99 percent black or black white face heifers. Sale average of 1365.00
per head on 39 lots.
Bred Heifers: Large 1-2 1100-1300 lbs 3rd stage pregnancy
1450.00-1675.00 per head, Pkg 1750.00 per head. Medium and Large 1-2
950-1100 lbs 2nd and 3rd period preg 1125.00-1375.00 per head.
