Receipts this Week: 7439 Last Week: 9414 Last Year: 7867 Monday Actual: 6311 Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 1.00-3.00 higher after a few steady trades early in the day. Steer and heifer calves steady to 2.00 higher on weaned black hided kinds but fleshy un-weaned calves at a significant discount. Feeder cattle in slightly thin to fleshy conditions. Weigh-ups gaunt to full. Demand very good for feeders. Some buyers on the sidelines but others very aggressive for numbers. Weather dry and hot. Supply included 75 percent over 600 lbs and 42 percent heifers. Slaughter bulls 1.00 lower. Packer demand moderate to good. Several old thin cows available and this more typical of the fall. Weather turned hot this week with temps reaching 100+, however much of Oklahoma remains in fairly good condition as far as total rainfall goes. High cow prices this summer has cows coming to town earlier than normal. Supply again included some 300 plus cows from one consignment all pasture exposed but not pregnancy checked. Total of 822 cows and bulls sold with 57 percent going to slaughter.
