Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Monday 06/30/2008
Actual Receipts: 6930 Last Week: 7940 Last Year: 1886
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 1.00 higher.
Steer and heifer calves not well tested, few sales of weaned calves steady to
firm. Demand good for No 1 feeders and weaned calves, moderate for plainer
feeders and new crop calves. Best demand continues to be for feeders over 750
lbs to finish before cold weather hits. Some buying interests were aggressive
while others were on the sideline. Weather cool and dry. Supply included 80
percent over 600 lbs and 42 percent heifers.
