Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Tue 08/5/2008.
Receipts: 1400 Last Week: 2200 Year Ago: 1400
Compared to last week: Stocker and feeder cattle steady to 3.00 higher.
Light numbers due to heat and improved outlook in fat cattle trade boosting
market. Good attendance of buyers and active trade. Cattle in thin to fleshy
condition. Receipts included 41 percent steers, 46 percent heifers, 13 percent
bulls with 29 percent over 600 lbs.
Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Total of 250 cows and bulls sold with 56
percent to packers.
