The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
July 22, were mixed. Soybean Meal was 37.60 to 58.90 lower. Cottonseed Meal
was steady to 10.00 lower. Whole Cottonseed was mixed, 5.00 lower to 2.00
higher. Canola Meal was 42.60 lower. Linseed Meal was mixed, 18.00 lower to
8.00 higher. Sunflower Meal was 5.00 to 25.00 lower. Crude Soybean Oil was 290
to 340 points lower. Crude Corn Oil was 600 points lower. Meat and Bone Meal
was mixed, 5.00 lower to 15.00 higher, mostly steady. Blood Meal was not
established. Feather Meal was steady to 50.00 higher, mostly steady to 25.00
higher. Fish Meal was steady to 10.00 higher. Yellow Corn Hominy was steady to
18.00 lower. Corn Gluten Feed was steady to 22.00 lower. Corn Gluten Meal was
steady to 50.00 lower. Distillers Dried Grains were mixed, 2.00 higher to 25.00
lower, mostly steady to 15.00 lower. Wheat Middlings were mixed, 5.00 lower to
5.00 higher, mostly steady to 5.00 lower.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, July 22, the August Soybean Meal futures closed 42.60
lower at 379.20; September closed 42.90 lower at 373.90. The August Soybean Oil
futures closed 290 points lower at 60.13 cents per pound; the September closed
292 points lower at 60.48 cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal
in Central Illinois were 37.60 to 42.60 lower from 377.20-389.20; Iowa was 42.60
to 47.60 lower from 374.20-396.20; Kansas City was 42.60 to 48.60 lower from
386.20-393.20; Minneapolis was 43.60 to 51.60 lower from 374.20-377.20; St.
Louis was 58.00 to 59.00 lower from 389.00-407.00; Memphis was 57.90 to 58.90
lower from 396.00-412.00; Portland was 37.60 to 44.60 lower from 407.20-434.20;
BN Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley was 42.10 to 45.60 lower from 418.20-419.20;
Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 42.10 to 42.60 lower at 422.20.
Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to
5.00 lower with offers at 340.00; Kansas City was steady to 10.00 lower at
375.00; St. Louis was steady from 360.00-370.00; Memphis was 5.00 lower at
335.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was
steady to 5.00 lower in a thin test from 450.00-453.00; truck delivered to Los
Angeles was not available. Whole Cottonseed delivered to Portland was steady to
2.00 higher from 460.00-477.00; Memphis was not available. Offers for nearby
delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to Portland was 42.60
lower from 269.20-294.20. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was mixed, 18.00 lower
to 8.00 higher from 265.00-282.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower
Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct protein was 5.00 to 25.00 lower at 180.00 in the
North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 290 to 340
points lower from 57.63-58.38 cents per pound; Iowa was 290 to 315 points lower
from 57.63-58.38 cents per pound and Minnesota was 315 points lower from 58.13-
58.26 cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was 600 points lower
from 73.00-74.00 cents per pound.
ANIMAL PROTEINS: Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was steady to 5.00
lower from 400.00-415.00; Pork ranged 421.00-435.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle
ranged 395.00-400.00; Minneapolis was steady from 400.00-415.00, pork was
460.00; St. Louis was 10.00 to 15.00 higher from 420.00-435.00 for ruminant;
Pork ranged 447.00-465.00; Portland FOB production points was steady from
370.00-385.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady from 380.00-
400.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady from 385.00-400.00. Blood Meal in the
Central U.S. had no quote; Pork was 1,250.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle had no
quote; delivered to the San Joaquin Valley had no quote. Feather Meal in Kansas
City was steady from 450.00-475.00; Minneapolis was 10.00 higher from 460.00-
467.00; Arkansas was steady to 25.00 higher at 500.00; Mississippi was 50.00
higher at 485.00; the 85 percent protein FOB San Joaquin Valley was 15.00 higher
at 415.00. Menhaden Fish Meal-FAQ was steady to 10.00 higher at 910.00 in both
the Gulf and East Coast. Select Quality Menhaden Fish Meal was also steady to
10.00 higher at 910.00 on both the East Coast and Gulf Coast. Mixed Fish Meal,
60 percent protein FOB Central San Joaquin Valley was not available.
CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady to 15.00 lower
from 170.00-197.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was 10.00 to 15.00 lower from
175.00-185.00; St. Louis was steady from 205.00-215.00; rail delivered
California was 18.00 lower at 245.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL,
IN) was 5.00 to 10.00 lower from 100.00-130.00; Kansas City was 10.00 to 22.00
lower from 145.00-170.00; St. Louis was steady to 6.00 lower from 140.00-152.00;
Memphis was steady at 175.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the
Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 15.00 to 30.00 lower from 520.00-560.00; Kansas City
was steady to 25.00 lower from 570.00-580.00; St. Louis was steady to 50.00
lower from 560.00-575.00; Memphis was 5.00 lower at 550.00. Distillers Dried
Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt was 8.00 to 15.00 lower from 155.00-180.00;
Chicago area was steady to 1.00 lower from 169.00-175.00; Lawrenceburg, IN was
steady at 165.00; Nebraska was steady to 2.00 higher from 175.00-190.00;
Minnesota was 5.00 lower from 170.00-185.00; Kansas was 10.00 to 15.00 lower
from 170.00-185.00; Iowa was 15.00 to 25.00 lower from 170.00-180.00; Northern
Missouri was 5.00 to 7.00 lower from 165.00-180.00; St. Louis was steady to

offers at 203.00.
WHEAT MILFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY were steady from 135.00-150.00;
Kansas City was 3.00 lower from 150.00-155.00; Minneapolis was 4.00 to 5.00
higher from 151.00-165.00; St. Louis was steady from 140.00-150.00; Memphis was
137.00. Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was steady to 5.00 lower from 185.00-
210.00. Wheat millrun truck delivered FOB Northern and Central California mills
was steady to 1.00 lower with offers from 199.00-210.00; FOB Los Angeles mill
door was steady to 1.00 lower with offers from 199.00-210.00.
OTHERS: Rice by-products: Offers for Rice Bran were steady to 10.00 higher;
Millfeed was poorly tested. Alfalfa Meal and Pellets were steady to 8.00
higher, mostly steady across nation this past week.
