Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/22/2008
Receipts: 860 Two weeks ago: 2467 Year Ago: 929
Special feeder calf sale today: Compared to two weeks ago (Sept 8).
Feeder steers 350-600lbs mostly $4.00-$5.00 lower, over 600lbs no
comparison due to low receipts today, feeder heifers mostly $2.00
lower, no comparison on heifers over 600lbs due to loe receipts
today, Holsteins no comparison. Trade active. Demand good. Supply
consisted of 55.1 percent steers, 34.4 percent heifers, 7 percent
Holsteins, 3.5 percent feeder bulls, and 21.4 percent of the cattle
were over 600lbs.
