North Dakota Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Receipts: 6390 Week Ago: 6240 Year Ago: 4955
Trade moderate this past week. Demand moderate to light. Comparable sales
steady to 1.00 higher. Buyer inquiry light to moderate. Offerings moderate. Some
interest noted for fall contracting of cattle. Unless otherwise stated prices
are F0B with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on
calves and 3-6 cents slide on yearlings from base weight. Steers made up 68
percent of the run; heifers 32 percent. Offerings over 600 lb totaled 79
percent.
Steers: Medium-Large 1 FOB Price: 850 lbs 112.50; 910-1015 lb 108.00-110.00;
for Sep 825 lb 113.25; for Oct 470-500 lb 126.00-130.00. Delivered Price:
Current 830 lb 115.00.
Heifers: Medium-Large 1 FOB Price: 895 lb 105.50; for Aug-Sep 800-860 lb
106.00-109.00; 925 lb 104.00; for Oct 550 lbs 109.00. Delivered Price: 760 lb
110.00.
